"Though if Julia wants to come she really needs to talk to Marissa. After
all I think she would find it awkward if I just suddenly brought along a
friend she doesn't even know. I mean.. I'm doing this to spend time with my
daughter. Not see if she is legacy material." He said in a serious tone.
NM:
She had asked Jonathan where Derek was and was pointed to Milo's room. Her
old one she thought wryly as she approached and knocked lightly on the door
before pushing it in a little. It had been left ajar so she wasn't sure if
they wanted total privacy or not. She had also heard this last bit and
barely restrained herself from frowning as she pointed out quietly.
"Not everything Derek does has to do with scoping out Legacy material."
Okay, so she had jumped on the defensive, she admitted to herself. She
couldn't help it when it sounded like his own friend was practically
insulting his possible motives of wanting to help someone.
"I'm sorry," she apologized for her comment "But he asked you because..."
Should she tell Milo that Reese was actually her assignment from the other
realm? She slipped Derek a look. Julia didn't want things about herself
revealed to everyone. Could she trust Milo to keep it to himself - not even
to reveal it to his newly found daughter?
"Well, how about we talk when I get back?" she asked both of them before
turning to Derek "Ria called and needs a lift. She's on the other side of
the island and the upgrades are being ran so I thought Kat and I could take
a break and bring her back to get started on the next batch."
Then she grinned a little and held out her hand "Use your car?"
