Derek:
>"Well don't burn down the house in your quest for
authenticity," Derek
>told
>him with a smile. He took a seat on the bed as Milo
answered his other
>question.
Milo:
Milo gave him a smile for that at least he was able to
stay in some good humor this evening. Maybe his fried
was having some effect on him.
>"We are not asking her join the Legacy Milo," Derek
told
>him. "I
>know you want to spend time with your daughter and I
understand that.
>However, it is my understanding that she has never
had any training in
>deal
>with this gift of hers." He remembered what he saw
in his vision, she
>was
>in a safe place then, but what if she can't make it
to one. "As long
>as she
>remains ignorant to the technics we can offer her,
she's a danger to
>the
>public. You should understand that already," he
added.
Milo:
"I do understand that but she is an adult and I think
she has had this for some time now. I just don't know
how she'll react to all this. I'm glad you told me
this though I just hope Marissa doesn't mind.. You
know it's funny I seem to keep finding new things and
those new things are hardly new. I have a daughter
Derek and she's been around for years. Feels like I
always find things after their creation." Milo said
with a small grin.

gently "And the
reason I'd

for the Legacy."

Milo:
Well he was caught in that lie now no use getting
childish about it. "If that is so I do want to know
what it is that you want with her. I mean why all this
sudden interest in her?" He asked Julia.

>Derek:
>The precept was not thrilled with any of the things
he was hearing.
>Though
>if Ria had made it back to the ferry landing she must
be all right. He

locked with Julia
>when
>she gave him that questioning look. He shook his
head very slightly.
>The
>few people who knew her true nature the better.
>He sighed inwardly and pulled his keys out of his
pocket tossing them
>to
>Julia. He couldn't wrap everyonein blubble wrap no
matter how much he
>wanted that. "Don't stay down there long," he
advised. His gaze
>remaining
>on her until she disappeared beyond the door.
>Derek:
>After she left he turned back to Milo. "I thought
you knew me better than this Milo," he said seriously.
>We just want to help your daughter learn to manage
something that could run out of control like a frieght
>train, if given the proper circumstances. It could
consume her and everyone in her path." He knew Milo
>wanted and explaination of how he knew this, so he
decided to give him one, even if it was a slight
>fabrication. "Julia has the Sight," he said.
Milo:
Milo felt a little guilty at that when considered his
friends words. True that Derek was passionate and
obesssed over the Legacy. However that didn't mean he
was totally aloof or cold to his friends. Milo had
jumped to conculsions, this whole thing still had him
jumpy. "I'm sorry Derek I should have been " He paued
for a moment shaking his head. "I know you don't think
of us like that, just sometimes I think the legacy
dominates my life." He said looking apolgetic now. "I
didn't know about Julia.. in fact there is a lot I
don't know about this house. Do you think it would be
arlight if we talked for a bit about that?" Milo asked
him now looking more business like then he had in the
past few days.
