"We should have her blood screened. She hasn't been injecting those pills
Alex brought home." He lowered Rachel's foot gently back to the bed and
reached out taking Julia's arm and turning it to inspect the damage. He
looked at Alex, "can you get her cleaned up?" He then led Julia to the
bathroom and began searching for a first aid kit. Once he found it, he
began to clean the scratches on her wrist. Some of them were rather deep.

He had shut the door most of the way and Julia had to bite back a hiss when
the antiseptic first touched the scratches but then made herself relax and
even smiled a little with a measure of reassurance.
"Derek... I don't think she's been injecting anything."
She watched him as he administered to the cuts and explained "The location
of the marks.. it just doesn't make sense. She'd have to maneuver a bit to
get the needle in that way and frankly, no one doing drugs bothers to take
the time needed to put a needle in just right."
"You should have Nick do a parameter sweep but I have a feeling someone's
been sneaking in here and doping her up."
She stopped for a moment, the antiseptic touching one of the deeper cuts and
then continued "I'd lay money odds that it's the stalker. I'd like to go
over the list of possible."
And of course there was one. She was sure that was one of the first things
Derek had had Rachel do: Make a list of enemies that would want to harm her
or Kat for whatever reason.
