"But Julia, she is a doctor and if she were trying to hide this it is a
possibility that she would inject herself there." He was willing to keep an
open mind about this, but he didn't want to ignore the possibility that
Rachel could have done this to herself, especially considering her past. He
didn't want Julia completely discounting that possibility either.
NM:
She still had a feeling about it though. The timing with the cold turkey
reaction being all off and - well she couldn't explain it, she just had an
odd feeling.
But she did take what Derek said into consideration and knew, no matter
about feelings or instincts that anything, when it came to drugs and abuse,
was possible.
She watched Nick leave and rubbed the back of her neck, looking at Derek
again "You might as well go downstairs so we can get Rachel changed... are
you going to have the doctor come here or meet us at the house?"
