They had reached the bird sanctuary and she had bought Kat a drink. Now she
regarded the girl and drank from her own glass before setting it aside and
folding her hands.
"Would you like to talk about what's weighing on your mind?" she asked.
Kat had gone through most of the zoo with a depressed, unenthused expression
and although Ingrid had an idea what it was that was troubling her, she was
going to let Kat decide whether if or when she would talk about it.
Kat:
Kat tore her gaze away from the bird habit, she was barely even noticing the
actual birds and instead had been staring at a rock on teh far side. There
were lots of things on her mind, but she wasn't sure she wanted to talk
about any of them. "Nothing's wrong," she said meekly not sounding as
though the words had any conviction at all.
