"I know, but they won't let me help take care ofher. Julia said I couldn't
even see her till some doctor said I could." If Kat knew the doctor that
might be one thing, but no names were mentioned and that scared her a little
bit.
Ingrid put her hands over hers, voice quiet but sure "You know that they're
going to get the best doctor for your mother so she can get better that much
sooner. I don't think your mother would be happy if she knew you were
around her to get sick too. It would probably make her sad too. You don't
want that do you?"
She turned her hazel eyes on Ingrid when she asked about going home, but
averted her eyes quickly and nodded a little nervously. "I think....I think
I might be in big trouble."
Ingrid looked at her "Why do you think that?"
