Kat listened to this thoughtfully, it was hard to imagine a nun getting into
trouble, even as a kid.  And she figured that Derek had always been grown
up.  "I know what you mean," she said suddenly, "Derek does that too
sometimes.  Just gets really quite, that's scarier than when he yells and
when he yells it's pretty scary.  Maybe, he learned that from you mom."

Ingrid chuckled "I wouldn't doubt it.  I'm not sure I know of anyone that's
been able to stand up to him when he's like that or yelling, although I have
an idea of someone that might."

She took another drink and stirred the straw in the glass thoughtfully
before looking back at the girl, silently urging her to continue talking.
