"You might be right about that," Derek replied taking a bite of his own
dinner.  "Though, I wouldn't let it get back to Jonathan that she's
complaining about his soup.  It may just look like broth, I suspect it's
stock he stood over all day.  It takes the man six hours just to make potato
soup."

"Mmm," Julia swallowed the bite she had and corrected him "That stuff Rachel
was eating isn't Jonathan's.  I've seen his broth.  I would say it was
something the nurse brought.  Tasted like canned broth actually."

She made a little face at that and took another sip of tea and looking for
the pickle Jonathan mentioned earlier.
