He nodded and a smile touched his eyes.

"Not wrong," he corrected.  "The council will need to approve you for duty
before you can officially be added back into active duty.  It's a
formality," he added.

His concern was who would be sent to do this and what he would do if they
decided to deny the application for some reason.  This was an unusual
situation.  usually if someone came back, it was due to the Dark Side.
Rarely, if ever did anyone come back from the Light.  He suspected they
might be a bit suspicious and rather hard on her and he didn't like that.

Finished with her dinner, Julia moved the plate aside and gave him an
assuring smile "It'll work out, Derek.  I'll either be reinstated or I'll
work somewhere else."
