Julia opened on eye and then the other, only to reach over and turn the
alarm off before it went off and look at Derek with a half sleepy smile.
She had woken up in his arms and was wondering how to slip out without
waking him up so that she could go downstairs to make sure Kat ate something
before they left for her school and give him an extra hour to catch some
zZz's.
She gave his lips the barest of kisses and started to slip out of bed to go
get dressed, unable to keep from smiling as she remembered last night - or
technically earlier that morning as they had stayed up past midnight.
Derek:
Something dragged Derek abruptly from a sound sleep. At first he wasn't
sure what had happen. But as he lay in bed eyes closed it came to him.
Julia was....missing...no....moving around. He struggled to pen his eyes
and looked around hazily for Julia, when he spotted her a groggy smile
touched his lips. The man sat up slowly rubbing his eyes and then glanced
at the clock. "Julia...the sun is barely up," he pointed. The coffee
probably hadn't even been brewed yet. Generally, Derek preferred it when
someone other than him did that. Except of course Nick. He had at one
time considered installing a coffee pot int he bedroom, but had given that
idea up because that would actually his attention in order to work out.
Derek stretched and leaned back against the head board gazing at Julia. He
was slightly amazed at just how beautiful she was first thing in the
morning. "It might be easier," he said thought, "if you just moved your
clothes in here. Unless of course, like Alex's, they need a entire room
unto themselves."
