Derek stretched and leaned back against the head board gazing at Julia. He
was slightly amazed at just how beautiful she was first thing in the
morning.
"It might be easier," he said thought, "if you just moved your clothes in
here. Unless of course, like Alex's, they need a entire room unto
themselves."
"Ha ha." Julia smiled before leaning over to kiss him and suggest "Why don't
you go back to sleep and no, I don't need an entire room for the clothes. I
like to shop but not everything I buy, unlike my friend, are clothes or even
for me."
Actually, literally speaking, she didn't have enough clothes to fill her own
closet, having just started restoring part of the wardrobe she had had
before Ireland, but had to admit that his suggestion about moving them in
here... it made her smile softly, even as she looked at him wondering if,
just maybe, he had made the offer in sleep-mode and not realized the
significance of such a move.
If he was serious it wouldn't take but one trip and she would do it herself.
It was obvious Jonathan knew about Julia and Derek's relationship by now
considering it was he that came in in mid mornings, while everyone worked
elsewhere, to straighten up, but something about moving clothes here
seemed.. intimate.
Her lips quirked before she stood, wondering if Derek realized also that his
drawer space would be 'invaded'.
"I'll start a pot of coffee." she offered before she leaned toward him for
another kiss, finishing the rest in a lower tone "But I might just slip back
in here to catch another hour's sleep when I get back too. If the school
traffic is nice to me that is."
"But either way coffee'll be ready and I promise my coffee doesn't taste
like a radiation plant like Nick's. I swear you can clean off deep sea
treasure with his brew."
She shook her head humorously and got up to leave. She stopped at the door
and looked back with another smile before opening it and exiting "Love you."
A few minutes more and she was heading toward Kat's bedroom to make sure she
was awake and getting dressed and then moved toward the kitchen.
She could more than get used to this, she thought as she started the coffee
and started making Kat breakfast, dressed in slacks, a casual button down
blouse and jacket. She bit into a mini muffin and grinned, replaying waking
up up to this minute in her mind's eye with a satisfaction she couldn't ever
remember feeling before.
Julia looked at the clock on the wall and finished cooking, putting the food
on the plate and estimating thirty minutes before they had to head out.
