"Yes you may," Derek responded. "If you are free for a wedding this
evening. I realize this is short notice." He held his hand out to Julia
and pulled her down on the bench beside him. While he waited for a
response, he pulled out the marriage license and handed it to her for her
inspection.
Julia 'landed' so that her legs were draped over one of his before she
straightened and grinned, sitting at an angle to face him as she looked
through the document. She looked at him curiously as it sounded like he was
either inviting someone to the wedding or hiring out for it. But she
couldn't help but to look back at the document and seeing both of their
names on it in calligraphy script.
She set the bad she was carrying on the bench they were sitting on, beside
her before looking back at him with a very pleased grin.
