"You should spend some time with Rachel, Kat's mother," Derek said
thoughtfully. "She's a psychiatrist and I'm sure she could give you some
inside and assistance with the career choice." He gave her a gentile smile.
"I'm not worried," he assured her. And that was true, they didn't really
need the extra help. And he would never expect as much from someone of her
youth as he did of everyone else anyway. He's see what she could handle and
take it from there.
Julia listened to their discussion, wondering how a teen had managed to
finish two years in psychology already and then looking at Kristin with a
slightly humorous expression. Another lady passing up grades?
Well, she thought to herself, not that she was supposed to know seeing as
she wasn't supposed to be in the Control Room, but it was the old security
instinct that had kicked in when she first returned that she had to look up
files and profiles on all of the people in the House so that she had some
kind of working knowledge of the member while upgrading the security system.
Which reminded her of a tweak that really needed to be done....
