"Exhausting," Lin said as he bowed at Sloan.  He had not seen the London precept in a long time.  "I had hoped that we would meet under more pleasant circumstances, but it is good to see you once again Sloan."

 
"Now," he said as he looked around the front hall of the house.  "Where is Mrs. Walker?"  he wanted to get right down to business.
 
"You're a day ahead of time." Sloan reminded him "Council isn't scheduled until the morning."
 
He wondered if he should correct the use of Julia's name but decided not to "How about I drive you to the hotel so that you can get some rest and settle in?"
