"I'll go wi'th ye." He offered, seeing the troubled look in her eyes
 and
reacting to it before realizing their proximity. He had reached out
 and
raised her chin with his forefinger to tell her not to look so down,
 that
there had to be an explaination. That maybe it had all been an
 accident, or
something. He even opened his mouth to say the words.

And found himself closing the space between them and gently kissing
 her lips
and then sitting back, wonderin what the hell just possessed him to
 do such
a thing. But, instead of getting upset he asked a question she had
 asked
him a couple of years ago, during one of their long talks and walking
 in
 Boston.

"Do ye think that'll last ten years?"

Something in his head pled that maybe he would use the scotch as an
 excuse,
the other seemed to be looking at him as if he had fallen off his
 last
 rocker.

He wondered which it was himself.

Kristin was about to breathe a 'thank you' to Philip; she was
relieved that he'd offered to come with her-she'd wanted to ask, but in
light of her tumbled emotions towards him, she hadn't been so sure it
would be a good idea.

And then, he'd kissed her. Just like her dream of the night before.
Stunned, she looked at Philip, speechless, as he sat back.

Trying to control her emotions, she grinned a little. "We'll just
have to see," she replied in her best Irish accent, giving him his own
words from a few years ago back.

The truth was, she just didn't know.

She took another sip of her scotch, trying to keep herself from
flying apart.
