Of course, he couldn't help but smile to himself as he went back into
the kitchen and sit back down at the table before commenting wryly
"Aye, things are getting back te normal around here. I would, um,
give Derek some time if any of ye wish to speak to him. He and Julia
are, as we say, discussing th' matter."
Kristin looked up as Philip re-entered the kitchen. At his
pronouncement, she felt her spirits lighten a bit; she remembered what
he'd told her about them always sending Julia to get Derek to agree to
things.
Sitting back down at the table with her glass of water, she allowed
herself a brief smile at Philip, and told herself to have a few minutes
of patience.
