Derek nodded slowly his worried gaze still on her for a moment.  "Is that
normal?"  He was fairly certain it must be, but he had to ask just to be on
the safe side.

Julia met his gaze.  They were 'on the clock' but on the clock or not, they
were new parents "Perfectly normal and right on time.  Doctor Meyers also
said not to forget the appointment although I doubt either one of us will."

This was said with a slight smile to both assure him and draw out something
of a smile or similar expression from him.  If she wasn't mistaken, he had
the date circled somewhere or written in a couple of places.
