Derek stood and took her hand heading out of the control room and to the
stairs.

"Take someone with you," he said suddenly.  "Just to be on the safe side,
Alex or Rachel."

She laced her fingers through his and looked at him curiously "Something
up?"

After all, she was just going to get some food.  She stopped at the foot of
the stairs and turned to him, using her other hand to brush off his right
shoulder.
