"I'll try," Derek told her, but the fact was they behaved recklessly
sometimes. "I can't imagine Jane doing something like that either and hope
she didn't do it on her own, but there is always a possibility that I do not
know her as well as I thought I did." That was something he did not really
want to accept, but he knew from past experience it was a hard reality he
just might have to live with.
Julia gave him a dry look. The team mirrored their Precept and Derek wasn't
above taking risks himself but she didn't say that.
"Whatever's happening with her, we'll deal with it." She added, about Jane,
and with a tone of faith in his and the team's ability "But for now, give
thy wife a kiss so your daughter and I can take care of this craving. I do
hope she doesn't get a taste for spicy foods. And call me if you need me?"
