She saw the cell phone and used it to call a cab for her at a specific
place. She can't dump the car in the bay, that would cause too much media.
But if she ditched it in the woods or something where most people don't
bother going, well that would work much better.
She then hung up and started the vehicle, driving to the spot she knew
wouldn't be bothered for weeks to come.
It was an hour before she was finished and heading toward her house to call
Derek and another hour before she actually did call him, changed and dressed
in something more, appropriate for what she had in mind. Not obvious, but
hinting.
"I'd like to speak to Derek Rayne please." she said once someone answered at
the house and then waited.
Derek looked up as the trio entered the control Room. He hadn't even
actually discussed anything with Nick yet and wasn't so sure he was ready to
deal with them all, however it was too late. Just then, an anouncement that
he had a call came over the intercom.
Well there was something to delay things, he thought. He picked up the
phone, thinking it was probably Julia. She and Alex had been gone awhile,
but he just assumed they'd gone shopping. That would not be in the least
bit unusual. "Derek Rayne," he said intot the handset.
