All Derek saw was a woman who was clearly derranged. Megan wasn't a killer.
He knew that. Something inside her had broken and turned her into someone
he didn't even recognize. Derek wished eh had never gotten involved with
her in the first place. He hadn't been thinking at the time. She was
attractive and he just acted without putting a lot of thought into it. Then
as things progressed...well he had made a decision to try and move on, but
try was the operative word. He had not been sucessful. It was very clear,
though it should have been before, that her feelings for him were much
stronger than his had ever been for her. If he had only been paying
attention and put a stop to this long ago, none of them would be here now.
He looked away from Megan, focussing his attention on the psychiatrist.
