There already were discussions about this misbehavior of the
.lnk files in XP. My conclusion at that time was that it was
due to the bug of shell32.dll in XP which handles .lnk files,
especially when parameters exist, but without the
explicit switch like /s or -s. I don't remember, however,
what Alan's conclusion was ...
