4.5.02 was the version I added the "dead window" checking which tried to detect and recover from unresponsive windows. I never saw the problems others did, including testing with Alan C's script, but I suspect its because I really don't stress my system much or have the right tools to test this. Anyway, I uploaded a new exe only to the usual folder on webeddie (ie the one where the betas go). This backs out most of the changes for dead window detection in 4.5.02, I think. Can you try it to see if it helps? If you have time, try several settings for the "abort time" setting on advanced|limits: one near 100, one around 700, one around 300, to see if any makes a difference. (This setting only affects the requests for icons; the request for window text is a straight GetWindowText which seems more reliable than icon fetch in my initial tests, which I don't understand for now).
