Hi Bruce, I have a bar with 255-Transparency and background image set * to get my bar blended with the desktop. It's working really good with untiled and unscaled wallpapers which have exactly the same dimensions as the resolution.
However, if the wallpaper is scaled or tiled the results are undeterministic. If the image is tiled the result is really erratic. If the image is stretched, PP shows the bar as if the unscaled image were behind the bar. Screenshots are here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/power-pro/files/0_TEMP_/ IMHO PP should use background image "as seen by the user", that is the behaviour with unscaled and untiled images should be used with scaled and tiled images, too. Is this possible and/or easy to fix? I discovered this as I was trying to overcome the transparency problem in my thumbnail-minimized windows script. For images in desktop-resolution it worked perfectly but the transparency was a mess when I tried another image than my usual dull, monotonous background.
