Hi David,

I disabled UAC to quickly test, and I discovered that certain programs
(like my browser) when installed under UAC had different settings when
UAC is disabled (due to that silent redirecting of \Program Files to
\VirtualStore). So, I re-enabled UAC and re-installed XP as dual boot.
I now spend most of my time in XP. Problem solved :)

(The only reason I am keeping Vista is that certain games like Crysis
make use of DX10, which is Vista only - having said that however, any
game I run using DX10 mode on Vista randomly blue-screens my PC
anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour after starting the game, so I play
my Vista DX10 games in DX9 mode anyway!)
