I must have a blind spot because I don't see the error in the code. Can you try the newly posted exe (4.9d1) and post the debug output for some strings of length 10, 50, 150 with dbcs both at end and not at end for each lenngth. You should be 3 lines of debug output for each one. If you don't get any, it means it is not detecting code page correctly.
