I've got an ICH4 chipset and gave it a try unsuccessfully --
the kernel docs say it has to be activated in the BIOS,
which does not have an option for it.
I tend to trust the IBM bios's functionality and therefore
concluded I drew a blank.

I will be glad to hear I'm wrong, though :-)
