With my Thinkpad R50e (Pentium-M 2.0GHz) I was able to get 8.1 W
in a ultra-idle X (around 7 wakeups), running a modified version
of Window Maker. That's my record, and I think it was on
2.6.22-rc5-hrt2 (or -hrt1, I don't remember). Note that display
brightness was at lowest level.

Now I am running
2.6.23-rc6-hrt1, but I haven't made any tests with it to check if
I can reach 8.1 W again (I am testing mandriva 2008.0 and didn't
have time to fine tune things again). But I've already seen 8.7 W,
running KDE.

Good to know about it.

That would be great.
