With my Thinkpad R50e (Pentium-M 2.0GHz) I was able to get 8.1 W in a ultra-idle X (around 7 wakeups), running a modified version of Window Maker. That's my record, and I think it was on 2.6.22-rc5-hrt2 (or -hrt1, I don't remember). Note that display brightness was at lowest level. Now I am running 2.6.23-rc6-hrt1, but I haven't made any tests with it to check if I can reach 8.1 W again (I am testing mandriva 2008.0 and didn't have time to fine tune things again). But I've already seen 8.7 W, running KDE. > When i bought my core-duo laptop i thought they would be even more > power-efficient but i don't think that anymore. That would be great. _______________________________________________ Power mailing list [email protected] http://www.bughost.org/mailman/listinfo/power
