I have been trying to flash upgrade the firmware in my Global Village
Power Port Platinum PCMCIA Card. I have downloaded an installed both
the 3.0.2 and the 3.0.6 upgrades from the GV site, but when I click
on the upgrade modem file, and select the slot the modem is inserted
into, I get a message that there has been an error in opening the
serial port, and to restart the computer. Restarting only results in
the same error message. Am I missing something obvious here?
Oh, yeah, PB5300c, OS 8.1. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
