Like I said, the battery life was great, it ran on it fine, and worked

plugged in to the AC adaptor as long as I wanted (even just doing the use -

sleep - use thing for a few days straight.)

The person's driving up and down the coast - could this have been brought

on by water or just being jostled at some time? Anything that can be done

to rectify this? It worked fine when I used it, showed it to her, etc, and

doesn't now... which is annoying to both of us. >>

Hi Eric - had a similar experience when I gave a 165C to a friend. Bought it
for a song. Fiddled around with it and got it working. Gave it to him in
sleep mode (he lives an hour away), when he got home, it wouldn't start.
Only got a ticking sound.

I got it back and after fiddling around again, can't remember exactly but
think it by using the newly charged battery from my 160 plus the AC to get
it working.

Sounds like you always used it with the AC plugged in sleep mode on your
desktop like I use my 160.

I think if the battery doesn't have much of a charge left in it (the one in
the 165c had less than 10 minutes) and if the PRAM battery is also depleted,
it won't start right away, even from the AC.

I don't know another solution if you don't have a good charged battery
available. Anybody else?
