Sorry about the confusion. Most USB printers I've seen still have a parallel
port on the printer and a cable to convert it to USB. The printer drivers
included with these printers look for the printer on a USB port and will not
connect via the serial port even with the adapter cable. Thus the need for
PowerPrint.

If you have an ethernet capable printer or a router/switch with a parallel
port this is the way to go.
