If he/she has a USB ready printer already, go for PowerPrint. If they need a printer too, buy an old StyleWriter 2400/2500 from eBay. I kept my old 2400 when I bought a new Epson printer. When my wife had to print over 500 pages for the PTA our 2 old StyleWriters made more than twice as may copies each than the Epson could. These printers last forever and the ink tanks are common Cannon models (cheap too). Some StyleWriters I've seen recently were WAY overpriced at the opening bid.
