Word 5.1, which I use constantly (had Office but even with most of its paraphernalia turned off the Assistant was simply too annoying, so ditched it), is the program that's fighting with my computer (besides HyperCard, that is -- still looking for a fix for that problem). Its Find File refuses to operate under OS 8.6; the "OK" button remains dimmed, so no search is possible. It worked fine under 7.5, likewise under 8.5.1 on my 5300, but my desktop computer and 8.6 seem to be too much for it. Does anyone know a fix for this? Or is it something that "some ResEdit hacking" might repair?
