Thanks a million Victoria (if there's anyone on the list who hasn't figured out yet that there are two of us he/she must be feeling like someone standing between two mirrors in a funhouse), but I've used Word for so long it would be like amputating fingers to give it up. All I was hoping for was a quick fix to make its Find File come back to life: it's much faster than Sherlock, and the preview window showing the phrase being searched for is handy indeed. Seems to me only decent that when someone does a favor they shouldn't be stuck paying for postage besides.
