Nils, (Did I recommend this?) I have a 190 trackpad in my 5300ce and it works great. No crashes, nothing. The trackpad should be 100% compatible. As Bruce mentioned, you might want to check to make sure your RAM is seated correctly and that the data ribbon cable for the trackpad is inserted correctly/completely. Have you installed _any_ software since installing the trackpad? Do you have the ClickPad II control panel installed by any chance (gives clicking capability on non-tappable trackpads - you don't need it if you upgraded your trackpad)? Just a few thoughts.
