Hi all, contrary to what I have stated several days ago, the problems with my PB 5300c have remained. The symptoms are: - random freezes during startup or later - when pushing the start button (with and without the power cord plugged in), a klicking sound can be heard, but nothing happens. Sometimes, command-option-start helps, but sometimes not (in this case, the reset button is the last resort).
I am pretty sure that it is not a software issue, but I have tried everything else I can think of (replaced keyboard, track pad, power cord, removed extra RAM).
