Hello list I'm pretty new to the Mac world so please bear with me. I just repaired a Powerbook 5300cs and so far it works great, but now I want to start doing the geek thing, home network , INTERNET, installations and the like. Problem is I havn't found a manual or any HowTo's. Can someone direct me to a good site with a lot of info on the 5300. Next how do I install Mac OS 9 without a built in CDROM? Can I use the built in SCSI port and connect a SCSI CDROM and install from there? My first thought was to us a pcmcia ethernet card and connect to my PowerMac and share the CDROM, but the tcp/ip setup is password protected and of course I don't have the password. So I want to install a fresh OS and go from there.
Any information would be welcomed TNX Marty __________________________________________________________________ The NEW Netscape 7.0 browser is now available.
