This was posted by my husband to another list, so it may look familiar to some of you, but I wanted a second opinion ;)
I upgraded a 5300cs/32MB/750MB/8.1 with a 32MB RAM card and now the built- in 8MB is not recognized. System Profiler shows 32 MB Built- in, total, "expansion RAM", but not the 8 MB soldered. If I take out the card, all is normal and shows the original 8MB just fine. Put the card back in, the 8MB disappears. Bad RAM or bad PB?
