*Pretty* sure, Malcolm. We suspected that too, but the System Profiler  
doesn't even mention the built- in- it lists the whole 32 megs as  
"expansion" with no mention of the soldered (is that usual behavior  
when adding expansion RAM?)

The card has stamped on it:

There's also a sticker that says 32MB, but I know that could be a  
mistake.

I'm sorry, I don't knwo what you mean by "chips".
