Chefck your local Batteries Plus or call Mike, >Jimmy, or Bob at the Holland, Michigan store with questions at (616) >396-9914. They rebuild all of my batteries, from computers to shavers... I've come upon this mistaken idea numerous times, that PRAM batteries are the same type as lithium watch or camera batteries. NOT! Lithium watch/camera/whatever batteries are not designed to be recharged, yet PB PRAM batteries do get recharged. Charging a non-rechargable battery _may_ lead to . . . heck if I know but it doesn't seem like a good idea to use the wrong cell type. The VL type cells inside a PRAM battery can be safely recharged. Peruse the Digikey catalog, you'll find the proper type cells and they are very cheap. Well, actually I guess 3400 and later use NiMH cells, again however not watch type cells. hth, Dan K -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
