>From my reading, the only Mac linuxes that are recent, are linuxppc and YellowDog. About once a eyar for the last few years I think about doing linux and explore the mac distros, although I've not put any on ever ;) Linuxppc wasn't very complete and is now defunct, Yellowdog last I looked was pretty robust, although I'm not sure if the 1400 is supported or not, this flavor is AFAIK going to be your only hope for recent/robust/current/ongoing support.
