So no go for the original poster, who was 1400 (even if he got a G3 card, the 1400 is not PCI based). And YellowDog lists 1400 2300 and 5300 as powerbooks which simply will not work. So it seems it is back to mklinux or one of the very limited distros, I'm afraid. I didn't check the other distros besides YellowDog, gentoo, and Mandrake but you can see them yourself from www.linux-iso.org then sort by architecture. Finding supported CPU info is surprisingly difficult, I'm now tempted to grab the distro 10 or 20 times from the distros who hide this info from me. It should be on their main page IMO.
