You sure this is a color screen? Sure sounds like you're trying to 
force
a mono screen to display colors.

What did you buy? An entire display or just an LCD or ??

IIRC, the cable from the LCD to the bottom board is the only 
LCD-specific
cable of the trio, each type LCD has its own special cable. The various
makes (3 different brands IIRC) of active color LCDs each have their 
own
special cable as well.

I bought the entire housing, it came in a very nice 540c bezel. Then I 
took it apart and it's the same screen as the two leftover grayscale 
units I already have. I contacted the seller and he's sending me 
another. I also mentioned the mobo to lcd cable, since that was the one 
I thought was different.
