Definitely makes the 117 603e usable and takes the G3 upgrade off of the

A 183.33 MHz 603 works fine in a 540c (NewerTech upgrade) and a 116.67 MHz
603 works fine in a 5300ce (standard -ce motherboard) with NN 4.8.

Claris [EMAIL PROTECTED] is my preferred e-mail client (works with SOL ... er, AOL ...
as well).

I can even launch SOL (AOL), but I prefer not to in such a memory-constrained
situration as an older 'Book.

The 5300 is nearly ideal as a road Apple as it has two PCMCIA slots and those
3Com/Megahertz 56K X-jack modems work well. So also do those Fuji DPC-AD
xD/SmartMedia cards. I use a Lapis Focus 16MV-EN card ($9.95 on clearance), so I
can take the 5300 into an internet cafe and hook the 'Book to their VGA monitor
and their Ethernet.

64 MB RAM on the 5300; 56 MB RAM on the 540c (PPC Upgrade).
