Hi, Somebody I didn't ask fooled around with my 8.1 sys folder, and after 2.9.5 didn't work, but 2.9.2 still does. I haven't found the problem - too busy. Also, playing around with prefs enables me to scroll eBay without freezing the 3400. Disable load images, increase memory allotments wherever you find them, uncheck some other things (I forget) and voila! It works! OTOH, there were some limitations with PPC upgraded 520 Pb - anybody remember what they were/are? George
