I'd have to agree with iCab. There should be no problems with a PPC/117 processor and 40MB of RAM, especially if you're on cable. I've used a PPC/100 (Road Apple Performa 5300) with 64MB of RAM and OS 8.6 on a DSL line, thru ethernet, and it was very fast, using both iCab and even IE5.
