First off, please don't hurt the newbie. *smile* I'm excited to be part of this community.
I recently purchased a Powerbook 520 on eBay. Here it is, if any of the info there will help: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2762230896&category=4606&rd=1 Upon arrival, I went to star it up and quickly received the wonderful flashing question mark floppy icon. I downloaded the DiskTools file listed next to 500 series on this site: http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/bootdisks.html I threw it on a floppy and tried inserting it. No such luck--I still got the floppy with an "X" thru it, then back to old flashy. Any help would be amazing. Thanks! Jim p.s. I'm participating in National Novel Writers Month ( http://www.nanowrimo.org ), which explains the desire to get an old, inexpensive, PB 520. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
