I think there's the heat issue, display issue, plus the laptop HDs aren't made to run 24/7.
an SE/30 will do a bang-up job :) perhaps with NetBSD on it but NetPresenz would be OK for light stuff, and I don't know of any security issues with it (as long as you limit cgi's)
