 Subject: PB 1400 networking hell
 From: Lance Hinek <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

 I have a PB1400 OS8.6 and a G4 desktop with OS 10.2.8 with a wireless
network using a router. i can access the internet with both of them
but can not transfer and files. Using the PB > chooser > server
address > I need to add a password. I tried to set the password using
the letter "a" on the G4 but that does not work. I want to transfer
files between the two computers. How can I set a usable password?

Login password for the PB is your login password on the G4 under 10.2.8. Make sure file sharing and appletalk are on on the G4. I had connectivity issues with my 1400 trying to get to my G4. Sometimes I had to reboot one or both machines to get a stable connection. One out of 20-50 tries.

Lance, if transfer speed is not an issue wouldn't you be farther ahead to get a SCSI cable and run in disk mode ?
Rather than wait for 20-30 reboots ?
