The Router is a D-Link DI-524 54bps Wireless-G. The PB Card is a Proxim Skyline 802.11b.
The G4 System Preferences > Network > TCP/IP states the "IP address" such as 123.456.7.899 (Provided by DHCP Server) and the "Router" is 123.456.7.8 The addresses are the same except the numbers beyond the last decimal point.
In the PB > Chooser, there is nothing in the right side of the window "Select a file server". It is blank.
I press the button "Server IP Address" which brings up a dialog box with "Enter the Server Address". When the "IP address" is entered, the next window is
Connect to the file server "G4" as: Registered User Name: Power Book Owner Password:
The password that is used is the one to add applications on the G4, the password that was created to set up OS 10.2.8. Then "Password incorrect"
Now if the "Router" address is used, the dialog box is "No response from the server".

YYYEEEESSSSSS!!!!! It was the wrong user name??? The PB added the name "Power Book Owner" every time in the window "Connect to the file server...." I checked the account name in the G4 System Preferences and vola...
